Global API Planning Lead is responsible for all aspects of API Planning .
This is a permanent role based in South Dublin.
1. Lead the global API team consisting of managers and senior managers located across several geographies (Ireland, US, Singapore)
2. Oversee a team of API buyer planners and oversee all activities related to API planning and buying globally. KPIs Include

8. Identify opportunities and strategies in supply planning, inventory management, campaigning strategy, to improve SCL performance in key areas such as responsiveness, cost, and on-time delivery.
9. Collaborate with sites, suppliers and global procurement to understand root causes of supply issues, define and follow through corrective actions plans.
10. Analyze demand evolutions and the capacity impacts on a short to long term horizon.Partner with global procurement, PSLs, GMT, manufacturing sites etc to resolve short to medium term supply gaps. Lead issue resolution process and ensure timely close out of actions.Define and implement cadence to review and update supply strategy based on mid to long range forecast.
11. Simulate different scenarios on the production bottlenecks taking into account business priorities and lead the development of recommendations to drive best overall value for Zoetis.
12. Validate the allocation of quantities into the regions; translate business priorities in case of production problems or shortages. Measure adherence versus allocations.
13. Lead the process to define and maintain key planning parameters to optimize the supply chain performance.
14. As member of the Global Supply Planning organization, identify continuous improvement opportunities & share best practices, align on appropriate & consistent planning methodologies within SAP system and promote the use of standard, automated reporting to support needs of S&OP.
15. Ensure best in class use of SAP ERP system including building team capability and defining standard work processes. Support the team as SME for Global Strategic Sourcing and the business units Key focus will be the implementation of IBP for APIs
16. Lead the Global Supply & Inventory reviews for the API platform and develop appropriate summary and action tracking. Follow through on action plans to resolve constraints and summarize as appropriate for escalation to SOP management reviews.
17. Set guidelines for API planning activities and take key decisions
18. Coordinate MSDS data, specifications, documentation and prepare logistical requirements for our transport team
19. Will actively participate in the SC&L budget process and provides input to and validates volume assumption of the Site budget process.
20. Responsible for the compilation of the planning data associated with the Budget and Financial cycles, including potencies, delivery plans, and usage factors
21. In addition to overseeing the API buyer planning activities globally, help execute buying planning activities for a regional API tactical portfolio incl.:Process the demand forecast into a delivery forecast in accordance with the supply agreement with the internal API manufacturers as agreedIssue purchase orders for delivery of APIs, as appropriate, to meet the internal manufacturer requirements, with guidelines set by the Regional Supply LeadersProduce and communicate timely purchase orders to API suppliersMonitor delivery, transit and (if applicable) local release of APIs until the product is available for distribution to manufacturersInform the Regional Supply Leaders of expected supply issues in a timely way, including root cause of the issue, actions being taken for resolution, and expected resolution dateSet up and update API product information in the supply chain systems:Collect all necessary data and informationSet up the systems, based on parameters approved by the Regional Supply Leader, for new API products, or provide the necessary information and data to the relevant support function. 22. Continuously update the global systems, with information approved by the Regional Supply Leader and Global API Lead, about planned and initiated deliveries
23. Generate periodic standard reports containing supply performance and inventory situation, review the reports to detect issues and develop appropriate and effective mitigations for review and approval by the Regional Supply Leaders and Global API Lead
24. Monitor current and projected inventory of APIs for internal manufacturers and external tolled manufacturers, to detect potential unavailability situations and initiate/change re-supply, as necessary, within guidelines set together with the Regional Supply Leaders and Global API Lead
25. Design, set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to accompany the SRM programme to continuously improve third party performance, compliance to contracts and internal team performance
26. Support the development of appropriate risk management templates and monitoring to assure supply of API’s
Experiences:
27. Hold a Bachelor, Master or PhD degree preferable in Supply Chain Logistics or Manufacturing related fields or have a proven track record of working in a Supply or Demand planning role.
28. 8+ years Sourcing and/or Supply Chain Planning experience
29. Knowledge of supply chain processes and systems for sourcing drug products and active pharmaceutical ingredients beneficial
30. Leadership experiences is essential
31. Proficiency in English (spoken & written)
32. Proficient in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word and SharePoint
33. SAP APO/IBP/ECC experience preferred
34. Strong analytical skills, combined with a system and process-oriented mindset
35. Lean principles for process improvement or value stream mapping experience.
