You will manage trading hours and collaborate closely with the managing director on operational matters. With prior experience in the Heating & Plumbing trade industry, you are ready to make a significant impact, shape the business, and reap the rewards.
Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day operational and administrative issues within the Company, including opening and closing the store, staff rostering, and security.
* Manage and be responsible for achieving and exceeding assigned business targets, sales budgets, KPIs, and discount, cost control, demonstrating ambition and profit focus. Liaise with the managing Director daily.
* Oversee your team's development and performance as a people manager.
* Manage merchandising and stock levels within the store, and be accountable for stock loss and stock takes.
* Analyse and interpret trends by keeping an eye on the market, including visiting local competitors' stores and monitoring media channels, to improve overall store performance.
* Ensure exceptional customer service from the team, fully understanding customer needs and requirements.
* Maintain a high level of presentation for the store, walking the floor regularly with your team and customers to gather feedback.
* Be responsible for health and safety within the store, addressing security issues and breaches.
* Lead by example, setting a positive tone for your team and providing guidance and support when needed.
