They are excellent individual contributors capable of taking up tasks from start to completion, with guidance.
QAT would be responsible for understanding the features and detailed functional requirements well enough, coming up with the test cases with some guidance, test execution and reporting with high bar on quality.
QAT's are technically savvy in use of software, computers and devices, support automation, can install and configure software, can use debug settings, have technical ability to gather logs, traces, etc.
to add to bug reports when provided with instructions.
They assist developers or other testers and maintain a high quality test environment.
Key job responsibilities:
Write and maintain test cases for different featuresExhibit technical capability to execute automated test scriptsAnalyze logs and traces to add to bug reportsInterpret test results and test coverageBASIC QUALIFICATIONS- BE in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education
- Good analytical ability and QA acumen
- Ability to understand technical specifications and analyze log files
- Knowledge of QA methodology and tools
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Preferably, have experience in UI Automation/Python based automation and user-level automation tools such as Selenium/Web Driver
