Senior Accounts Payable Specialist
We are seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic and fast-paced finance team, where you'll play a pivotal role in driving efficiency and accuracy across the accounts payable function.
This role involves mentoring a Junior A/P Specialist, improving processes, and fostering strong vendor relationships while ensuring the integrity of financial transactions. You will also provide some support for the payroll function.
Key Responsibilities:
* Team Leadership: Inspire, mentor, and support an Accounts Payable Specialist, fostering an environment of growth, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
* Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements that drive efficiency and accuracy in invoice processing and payment procedures.
* Invoice Management: Lead the review and approval of invoices, ensuring alignment with company policies and financial standards.
* Vendor Relations: Develop a deep understanding of vendor management, including Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and maintain strong, proactive relationships to resolve inquiries and disputes.
* Reporting: Prepare insightful reports on accounts payable metrics, payment cycles, and outstanding invoices for senior leadership.
* Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to financial regulations, company policies, and internal controls.
* Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with finance, procurement, and other key departments to streamline processes and address operational challenges.

* Attention to Detail: Strong focus on precision and accuracy in financial transactions, with a keen eye for identifying discrepancies.

* Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills.
Qualifications & Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or part-qualified accountant.
* Significant experience in Accounts Payable and Payroll, with international payroll experience considered a plus.
* Valid driving license and personal transport is essential as the office location is not accessible via public transport.
The estimated salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
