The position
As a Manufacturing Support, Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of production processes while supporting clinical and development activities. You will oversee the production of clinical and development batches, ensure compliance with industry standards, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise will also support scientific activities within the department, while actively collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing data integrity.
Your key responsibilities will be:
* Oversee clinical/development batch production and ensure quality throughout the process
* Manage cleaning of the facility to maintain high standards of hygiene and safety
* Take charge of risk management and ensure processes are optimized for safety and compliance
* Plan, coordinate, and report on work primarily within your department, ensuring all documentation is aligned and up to date
* Delegate tasks to technicians, providing scientific support and troubleshooting technical issues as needed
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications and experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering with at least 7 years of relevant experience or equivalent practical knowledge
* Strong quality mindset with a focus on precision and excellence

About the department
Located in Athlone and part of the global CMC development team, Oral Product Development Athlone will play a leading role in Novo Nordisk’s oral solid dosage expansion, with an ambition to develop world-class tablet products for patients living with chronic diseases. You will be part of a cross-functional and global team that works on early and late development, clinical supply, and scale-up of oral products.
