We are seeking a Health and Safety Manager to work with an established developer on projects in Co. Dublin.
The successful person will implement and maintain health and safety policies and procedures, conduct risk assessments, and provide expert guidance to the team.
They will report to the General Manager and Operations Manager.
This opportunity will suit a Health and Safety Advisor ready to take on the leading safety role at a company.
Responsibilities:
1. Implement and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and legal requirements.
2. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
3. Develop and deliver health and safety training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
4. Conduct risk assessments and recommend appropriate control measures.
5. Investigate and report on accidents and incidents, and implement corrective actions.
6. Review contractor health and safety plans and ensure compliance with our policies.
7. Provide expert guidance to the development team on health and safety matters.
8. Liaise with external health and safety agencies, and maintains a working knowledge of industry developments and best practices.
9. Act as the primary point of contact for all health and safety matters on the projects.
Requirements:
10. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a health and safety role with a building contractor or developer.
11. Full Driver’s License.
12. A degree in health and safety or a related field is an advantage, but not essential.
13. Knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
14. Experience in delivering health and safety training.
15. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
16. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
17. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
18. Proven track record of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
19. Experience in leading health and safety initiatives and promoting a positive safety culture.
