The Position
The Group Reservations and Revenue Manager position is an exciting opportunity for an individual interested in playing a significant role within Clare Tourism. We are inviting applications from suitably qualified persons for this position.
The successful applicant will report to the Head of Commercial and Shared Services and work closely with Senior Management within Clare Tourism to develop a World Class Visitor Experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implement revenue management strategies and processes, including the administration and development of a reservations system.
* Provide and support the reservations teams.
* Plan, organise, and optimise all activities of revenue management for the business.
* Ensure a safe and world-class visitor experience is provided and help embed a culture of a great place to work through trust, respect, and safety through training and development.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a bespoke booking and reservations system, contributing to its improvement, development, and maintenance.
* Support and monitor the reservations departments at Clare Tourism, managing the team.
* Work closely with senior management to develop rate strategies.
* Develop Key Performance Indicators, weekly yield, and monthly revenue reports.
* Produce month-end reports with a strong emphasis on past, current, and future performance analysis.
* Utilise rate comparison reports to identify and react to pricing opportunities within the business.
* Work closely with the operational management team throughout Clare Tourism to manage the development and understanding of the trade and booking system to assist with capacity management for all sites.
* Establishes and maintains effective employee relations, including open communication with all employees.
* Assist sales teams with trade contracts renewals, ensuring that all trade partners are compliant with their contracts.
* Support the sales and marketing management teams with promotional information to drive sales in all Clare Tourism Visitor attraction sites.
* Delivers on specific projects assigned from time to time.
Requirements/Essential Skills and Attributes:
* A proven track record in yield/revenue management/reservations with at least 5 years' management experience.
* Candidate ideally has a Diploma/Degree in a similar or related discipline in tourism/visitor management, business/finance, or a related field qualification is required.
* Experience in PC-based systems and technologies.
* Good knowledge of e-learning platforms.
* Flexibility and a strong problem-solving approach to issues.
* Experience of managing people in a small to medium-sized enterprise.
* Ability to demonstrate high teamwork & motivation skills.
