Job Summary
The position is responsible for general ledger related reporting duties for North American entities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist in preparation of US GAAP accounts and month end close.
2. Completion and review of Balance sheet reconciliations.
3. Ensure the presentation to corporate of financial data on a timely and accurate basis.
4. Supporting the preparation of forecasts and annual plans.
5. Preparation of detailed Cost Centre analysis.
6. Collaboration with the Transaction Processing group in Athlone.
7. Ensure the integrity and SOX compliance of financial, administrative and legal controls in accordance with corporate policy and procedures.
8. Ensure compliance with VAT, tax and fiscal requirements.
9. Prepare the information requested by internal and external auditors.
10. Ensuring the integrity of internal financial controls.
11. Ad hoc tasks as required to support Finance Function.
12. Back up for other colleagues where necessary.
13. Participate in mentoring programme within team.
Education and Experience Requirements
1. Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
2. Bachelor's Degree or Diploma including Accounting.
3. Previous experience in a Shared Service Centre.
4. SAP user level experience.
5. Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality.
6. Excellent IT skills with a working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
7. Strong attention to detail with good time management skills.
8. The ability to work effectively under pressure and to strict deadlines.
