Wood is currently recruiting a Marine Civil Engineer to join our Marine Terminals team. This role focuses on the planning and design of marine loading terminal infrastructure within our Technical Consulting business.
This position is based in our Galway office, with hybrid working available.

The Role
As a member of our expanding Galway marine terminals team, you will be involved in the planning and design of marine loading terminal infrastructure around the world. This is a fast-growing area within Wood and provide an exciting career development opportunity for an engineer with a first industry experience.
You should have some experience in the marine civil or energy industry, with relevant design experience in delivering nearshore/coastal Civil & Structural infrastructure. Additionally, you should have experience in working as part of a team developing a range of terminal solutions, from initial concept through to detailed design for implementation.

ResponsibilitiesTypical ResponsibilitiesConcept, front end and detailed design of port infrastructure, including jetties, dolphins, quay structures, dredge layouts, breakwaters and revetments.Writing of technical reports and specificationsSupporting the preparation of cost estimates and tender documentationLiaising with other engineering disciplines during the design processParticipation in client meetings, workshops, safety reviews etc.Attend site visitsMentoring of more junior staffProviding support in the preparation of bid and tendersQualificationsWhat makes you remarkable?At Wood, we are committed to equal opportunities and welcome all talented individuals to consider joining our team.
