Product Support Engineer
Our client is a global leader in medical diagnostics manufacturing, seeking an experienced Product Support Engineer for their facility in Swords, Ireland. The role involves traveling to customer sites in Europe to resolve technical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
* Travel to customer sites in Europe to resolve hardware/software and workflow escalations in a timely and professional manner
* Lead investigations, manage, and communicate progress to cross-functional teams
* Present data, metrics, and escalation progress to cross-functional teams
* Generate systematic plans to assist in troubleshooting and problem resolution of instruments
* Resolve technical problems using data analytics, working closely with subject matter experts to identify root cause and develop solutions
* Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and implement enhancements or new workflows improving reliability and performance
* Have a thorough understanding of complex Medical Device equipment, with proven knowledge of software and hardware problem solving
* Proven ability in the application of IT, electrical, mechanical, fluidic, and system engineering principles
Requirements:
* Extensive travel to customer sites in Europe
* Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, System, Electrical, Biomedical Engineering or Software) required
* Minimum 3 years relevant experience
* Familiarity with regulations in the medical device industry
* Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills, with the ability to create and present findings to customers and management teams
* Self-directing, goal-oriented, with a customer-first approach, and able to prioritize workload accordingly
