Meeting & Events Coordinator - Maldron Sandy Road
We have an exciting opportunity for a Meeting & Events Coordinator in the Maldron Sandy Road.
Objective of the Role
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Meeting & Events Coordinator will be responsible for effectively co-ordinating meetings and events at the hotel and assisting with driving sales growth.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Co-ordinate event bookings, always ensuring effective verbal and written communication with clients.
* Address client inquiries, handle last-minute changes, and resolve any issues to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction.
* Act as a key liaison between clients, the sales team, and operational departments to ensure all event details are effectively communicated and executed.
* Assist with meeting rooms set-up and service, ensuring all details are 100% accurate.
* Ensure all booking deposits are in place and all charges for events are posted and charged daily.
* Manage the online profiles of the hotel on various platforms.
* Facilitate familiarisation trips and site visits for all sales opportunities from bedrooms, meeting rooms, and F&B.
* Assist Sales Manager when creating strategies to drive more business for meeting rooms and F&B.
* Assist with the promotion of the property at networking events.
* Carry out regular competitor research projects as requested.
* Build rapport with potential clients to convert inquiries into confirmed bookings.
* Build relationships with clients to encourage repeat business.
* Assist with duties in other departments within the hotel when needed.
Requirements:
* Excellent organisational & administration skills.
* Event sales or coordinating experience in a hotel or venue is desired but not required.
* Reactive sales experience is a must with proactive sales experience desirable.
* Experience working with clients over the phone and face to face.
* An excellent command of the English language.
* Possess the ability to see an opportunity and act on it to secure revenue for the Hotel.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Strong communicator.
