Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Buyer to manage procurement activities for our plant in Limerick.
Main Responsibilities:
* Manage the procurement process for materials, equipment, and services required for various projects.
* Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure best value and quality.
* Monitor market trends and conduct cost analysis to identify potential savings.
* Purchase goods and services that meet internal customers' requirements while adhering to safety, engineering, energy, and environmental codes and standards.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to forecast procurement needs.
* Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance.
* E nsure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
* Maintain the highest standard of ethics in all business dealings with Suppliers and Customers.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Purchasing, Business, or Supply Chain Management, or equivalent professional qualification.
* At least 5 years of experience in a busy engineering-oriented purchasing role, with expertise in procuring high-value engineering goods and services.
* Strong negotiation and communication skills.
* Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic fast-paced work environment.
* Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
