Job Title: Manufacturing Manager
Overview:
The Manufacturing Manager will lead and manage manufacturing operations to meet the company's strategic goals, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manufacturing Operations Management: Oversee daily manufacturing operations (liquids, creams, powders) ensuring quality, productivity, and timely supply.
2. Scheduling and Planning: Coordinate weekly schedules with Planning and ensure adherence to manufacturing instructions and GMP standards.
3. Batch Paperwork and Compliance: Manage batch paperwork, SOP approvals, and document reviews for compliance and accuracy.
4. Process Efficiency and Productivity: Plan manpower, monitor yields, and drive process efficiency to meet KPIs like waste reduction and cost savings.
5. Procurement and Training: Ensure timely procurement of consumables and effective training programs for staff.
6. Audits and Quality Control: Lead audits (GMP, EHS&S) and handle deviations, OOS/OOT investigations, and corrective actions.
7. Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by analyzing processes and implementing performance enhancements.
8. Document Approval: Approve all master manufacturing documents including validation protocols & SOP's.
9. Team Performance Management: Manage and maximise team and individual performance through leadership, facilitation and employee development.
10. Staff Training: Responsible for identifying training needs of operators, supervisors and other staff members and ensuring training is carried out as required.
Requirements:
1. Industry Experience: 7+ years in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally in manufacturing or supply management.
2. Educational Background: Third-level qualification in science, engineering, or manufacturing (post-graduate in management is a plus).
3. Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills with a proven track record in performance improvement.
4. GMP Knowledge: Knowledge of pharmaceutical GMP (EU) and experience with liquid filling operations preferred.
5. Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills in a regulated environment.
