Senior Architect, Data Center Engineering - Civil, Structural, Architectural Solutions
As a Senior Architect in Data Center Engineering - Civil, Structural, Architectural Solutions (DCE-CSAS), you will play a key role in designing and delivering next-generation data center architectural designs and remediations that meet the organization's goals. You will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams to produce efficient, cost-effective, resilient, and scalable architectural designs.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement global architectural infrastructure design strategies, product innovation, and development.
* Lead the audit and remediation of existing sites to ensure current architectural systems meet performance and operational standards.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand customer demands and technology/business opportunities.
* Communicate technical decisions to Principal Architects/Engineers and drive continuous improvements with designs.
* Participate in external forums/consortiums to understand current trends and developments within the industry.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Architecture and Architecture license.
* 10+ years of design and standard template development experience in commercial, industrial, or other complex technical projects.
* 3+ years of design experience with architectural design and standard template development of mission-critical projects and leading sub-consultants/project teams.
* Proficiency in industry standards, environmental codes, building codes, regulations, safety guidelines, and standards.
* Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction architectural drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's or higher degree in Architecture.
* 3+ years of large-scale Data Center facility design and standard template development experience.
* Fluent working proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite.
* Proficiency in multi-disciplinary building codes and regulations in multiple international/geographical regions.
* Experience in developing Basis of Design standards including Owner's Requirements, Master Specifications, and Template Drawings.
A Day in the Life:
As a Senior Architect, you will need to travel up to 40% of the time, both internationally and domestically, with short notice. This will involve site walks, field observations, and working on international teams.
