Job Description
We have a number of opportunities across Ireland for Quantity Surveying graduates to work within our cost management teams, providing construction cost management services to our clients in Ireland, the UK, and around the world.
What you'll do:
Graduates will work on local projects and interact with teams across Ireland and the UK. You will be involved in all stages of a project; from initial project definition and brief, cost planning, through to procurement, construction, and building use.
Job Responsibilities:
The Cost Management role involves pre and post-contract duties, including:
1. Pre-Contract:
* Cost modelling and cost planning
* Benchmarking
* Value and Risk Analysis
* Attending design team meetings
* Procurement tasks and managing tender processes
* Compilation of contract documentation
1. Post Contract:
* Attendance at site progress meetings
* Completion of Valuations
* Financial reporting
* Due Diligence reporting
* Review and management of change control procedures
A Quantity Surveying Graduate at AECOM will assist in all of the above tasks and see projects from inception to completion on site.
Qualifications
Here’s what we’re looking for:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (min 2:1 or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying, Quantity Surveying & Commercial Management, Quantity Surveying & Construction Economics (preferably RICS /SCSI accredited)
Skills:
* Effective decision making and strong verbal and written communication
* Proactive and driven approach to work
* Ability to work in a team of diverse individuals
* Good organization skills
