RecruitmentPlus on behalf of our client have a great opportunity to join a leading company who supply to the agricultural industry in Monaghan. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a laboratory with good data reporting and analytics skills. Reporting to the Nutrition & Technical Development Manager, you will also work closely with the Procurement and Quality Departments.
Monday to Friday day shift working hours and easily commutable from within Monaghan, Cavan, Armagh and south Tyrone and Fermanagh.
Requirements:
* Hold a level 6 or greater in Science, Agricultural Science, Food Science/Technology or similar qualification and/or experience is desired.
* Familiar with processing test samples and performing lab tests to identified standards. Familiarity with HACCP principles is desirable.
* Meticulous data collection, interpretation, and reporting capability.
* Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures consistently.
* Highly proficient in MS Excel. Proficiency in 1 or more of the following: Power BI, Tableau, Google Charts.
* A great communicator, highly motivated and organised capable of working on own-initiative and prioritising tasks.
* Have an interest in agriculture and animal nutrition.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Operate in-house lab analytical equipment to perform tests on raw materials, intermediate products, and finished feed to assess their compliance to quality standards and with feed safety regulations.
* Monitoring Nutritional, microbiological, chemical, and physical properties of ingredients/finished product in accordance with the quality control program.
* Documenting test results and maintaining accurate records for traceability and regulatory audits.
* Analysing test results and reporting any deviations or potential hazards.
* Ensure all products comply with relevant safety and quality standards.
* Collating upstream and downstream supply line data for interpretation, analysis and reporting.
* Ensure laboratory equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and functioning, following safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
* Working collaboratively with the Nutrition & Technical Development Manager, Procurement, Quality and Production teams to address any issues, recommend corrective actions, and help troubleshoot problems related to feed quality.
