Homecare Nurse Specialist (HNS) for Intermittent Self-Catheterisation (ISC) and Stoma Patient Support covering the East of the country.
Role Description
This is a specialised role that links the clinical and business worlds. It will establish and maintain close relationships with nursing and medical teams in the fields of urology and stoma.
The role will also support our Hizentra at home service.
ISC
Once a patient has been identified as suitable for ISC by their healthcare professional, they are then referred to the homecare nurse specialist for training along with any additional support required until the patient is confident using our catheter.
Our urology ISC supplier also has a range of transanal irrigation (TAI) devices which will require education, training and support for health care professionals and patients.
Stoma
Once a patient has been prescribed one of our Stoma products by their health care professional, they are then referred to the homecare nurse specialist for training along with any additional support required until the patient is confident using the product.
Role Specification
* Continue to support patient referrals from established accounts.
* Train and support patients in the community.
* Maintain close relationships with established customers.
* Support our full urology portfolio with clinical training to health care professionals.
* Establish and develop new relationships and business with customers and hospital Urodynamics & Stoma Departments.
* Assist in the development of the Stoma homecare service within Fannin which would include working with Customer service, Quality/Regulatory and Logistics.
* Attend conferences with customers and keep up to date with clinical changes within urology/stoma.
* Be familiar with current services and products in competitor companies.
* Work alongside Fannin sales/commercial team to help develop new business.
* Responsible to work with the commercial team to support business development in key strategic centres.
* Travel may be required from time to time for training, conferences and events.
* Ad hoc duties as required by the role or directed by the Sales Director.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Nursing experience in a healthcare setting.
* Competent in male and female urethral catheterisation.
* Experience in urology & stoma.
* Knowledge and experience of homecare support.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to coach and train others.
* Ability to use own initiative and show discretion.
* Flexible approach to working hours during busy periods.
* Experience in operating and leading a homecare service.
