About the opportunity:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Vendor Manager to oversee and optimize relationships with key vendors that support our Content Operations. This role will be responsible for vendor selection, contract negotiations, performance management, and ensuring vendors align with our operational goals and quality standards. The Vendor Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Content, Procurement, Legal, Finance, Engineering, and IT, to drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness across vendor engagements. Our success depends on strategic vendor partnerships that enable us to scale efficiently while maintaining excellence in Content Management and Distribution.
The day to day:
* Manage a global network of content vendors, ensuring they meet our quality standards and delivery timelines.
* Develop and implement vendor management strategies to ensure optimal service delivery, cost efficiency, and risk mitigation.
* Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors that align with business needs and industry trends.
* Negotiate contracts, pricing structures, and service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure favorable terms for the company.
* Monitor vendor performance against contractual obligations, KPIs, and SLAs, addressing any service issues proactively.
* Foster strong vendor relationships through regular communication, performance reviews, and collaboration on process improvements.
* Partner with internal stakeholders to understand operational requirements and ensure vendors support strategic objectives.
* Work closely with Finance and Legal teams to manage budgets, payments, compliance, and contractual obligations.
* Identify and mitigate risks related to vendor relationships, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.
* Leverage data analytics and reporting to assess vendor performance and drive continuous improvement.
* Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in vendor management.
What you’ll bring to the role:
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field. MBA preferred.
* 5+ years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain, preferably within the media/social media, content/Trust & Safety, or entertainment industries.
* Strong negotiation, contract management, and relationship-building skills.
* Experience working with content-related vendors, including production houses, technology providers, and licensing partners, is a plus.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
* Proficiency in procurement and vendor management tools, contract lifecycle management systems, and data analysis platforms.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.
* Ability to manage multiple vendor relationships in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Knowledge of compliance, risk management, and regulatory requirements related to vendor contracts and services.
