Business Development Manager

Role Purpose:
* Develop a defined territory as outlined by the General Manager with total responsibility for sales, debt, margin, and profit.
Responsibilities:
1. Deliver and exceed agreed territory sales, profit, and margin targets across the Marketplace Foodservice and Retail business.
2. Manage a prospect list to secure new customers and drive growth through expanding the range that is currently being supplied to existing accounts.
3. Maintain all your accounts within Musgrave MarketPlace agreed credit terms and manage customer contracts including managing pricing and range to maximize profitability.
4. Ensure excellent customer service through friendly, accurate field communication and good administration practices.
5. Provide information on competitor activity and other trade field information to the General Manager & business.
6. E nsure the correct product mix in each account thus ensuring maximum profitability.
Requirements:
* Understanding of the foodservice and retail customer.
* Experience/knowledge in food industry or in direct foodservice sales (competitors/range/customers).
* Proven track record in proactive field sales and achieved targets.
* Professional selling skills and administration skills, planning, and time management skills.
* Ability to work on own initiative and change, adapt, and be flexible.
* Leaving Cert / GCSE and full clean driving licence.
