We are seeking an experienced Lead Automation Engineer to manage and optimize Qualified (GxP) and Non-Qualified (non-GxP) Building Management Systems (BMS) within our pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This role is critical in ensuring system reliability, compliance, and operational efficiency across the site.
Key Responsibilities
* System Ownership – Lead the operation, maintenance, and optimization of BMS infrastructure for environmental monitoring, HVAC controls, and utilities.
* Compliance & Documentation – Ensure adherence to GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and EU Annex 11 while maintaining accurate system documentation.
* Technical Leadership – Act as the SME for Siemens Desigo-based systems, overseeing design, configuration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
* Collaboration & Vendor Management – Work with cross-functional teams and external vendors to support upgrades, projects, and compliance initiatives.
* Continuous Improvement – Identify opportunities for energy efficiency, sustainability, and system enhancements.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, or related field).
* 3+ years of BMS experience in a pharmaceutical or regulated environment.
* Strong knowledge of Siemens Desigo or similar BMS platforms, including system integration and troubleshooting.
* Expertise in BMS compliance, validation, and change control.
* Leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience
* Advanced degree in Engineering.
* Experience with energy efficiency initiatives in manufacturing.
* Knowledge of additional BMS platforms and facility systems.
