Contract Manager Vacancy
About the Role
We have an immediate vacancy for a Contracts Manager to join our team in the West of Ireland.
The EPS Group is a complete end-to-end solutions provider involved in the design, build, operation, and maintenance of water and wastewater assets & infrastructure in the municipal (Local authority), Industrial (Food and Beverage/Dairy/Pharmaceutical) markets.
Key Responsibilities
* Overall responsibility for delivery of MEICA Contracts in the West of Ireland
* Project manage all aspects of water and wastewater pumping and treatment installations primarily focused on Mechanical/Electrical/ICA requirements with minor civil works included
Key Tasks:
1. On Contract award, review tender submissions and develop plan for contract delivery
2. Assign tenders won to appropriate PM for Delivery
3. Assist with smooth transition from Tendering to Contract Delivery Team
4. Take the lead on Contract Design, considering innovative solutions and opportunities for off-site manufacture
5. Lead & mentor a team of engineers in the delivery of new & existing contracts
6. Oversee commercial matters arising during Contract delivery from supporting Project engineers with procurement from supply chain, negotiating subcontracts to managing commercial matters with Clients
7. Monitoring Project programmes for multiple contracts
8. Co-ordinating regular Contract review meetings with the contracts Team
9. Ensuring monthly invoicing targets are being achieved
10. Creating project programme and ensuring that all required project interfaces are allowed for, from design to final site commissioning & handover
11. Liaising & co-ordinating all works with the Client and relevant stakeholders
12. Management of all site labour including subcontractors
13. Ensuring projects are completed safely, on time and within budget
14. Writing engineering reports, reviewing method statements and commissioning schedules
15. Ensuring procedures are in place which facilitate the safe delivery of Contracts
16. Managing & Updating monthly Project Tracker
17. Attending and input into overall EPS Contracts growth and Business development strategy
18. Attend regular meetings with full EPS MEICA Contracts Leadership Team
Requirements
* Proven experience & ability to manage, mentor and improve team members
* Proficiency in PC skills
* Excellent inter-personal skills and communication skills
* Experience in mechanical & electrical design and ability to review and interpret specifications
* Experience and knowledge of various process designs in the Water & Wastewater Treatment sector would be an advantage
* Proving track record in delivery of projects with a mechanical & electrical focus
* Strong collaborative skills with an ability to work effectively in a team environment
* Have a willingness to learn and be challenged in the water and wastewater Industry
* Proven experience in delivery of projects with strong emphasis on H & S
* Education Requirements: Third level Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering degree/Diploma Similar relevant degree or Mechanical or Electrical craft Background Experience in similar role
