About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Person in Charge to join our Orchard Community Care division in Waterford City.
The successful candidate will provide the highest possible standards of support to those who use our service, ensuring compliance with Government and Health Service Executive (HSE) Policy.
This is a key role within our team, requiring the ability to work autonomously and with initiative.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with autism and a proven track record of managing a residential service that meets quality, regulatory, and legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* To take the lead on shift when on duty in the service.
* To participate in the provision of direct care to individuals, following established care plans, protocols, and procedures.
* To assist in assessing the needs of individuals under care and developing individualized care plans.
* To ensure the implementation of appropriate care interventions and monitor the progress and outcomes of care.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 3 years in a management or supervisory role in the area of health or social care.
* A professional degree (minimum level 7) in Applied Social Studies or relevant qualification.
* Level 6 Management qualification.
* A full current driving license with full eligibility to drive in Ireland, and access to a vehicle.
* Excellent IT skills.
* An excellent working knowledge of legislative/regulatory requirements and responsibilities.
