We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Sales and M&E professional to join our Senior Management at Leonardo Hotel Parnell Street, Leonardo Hotel Christchurch and NYX Portobello Hotel Dublin as Cluster Director of Sales. The ideal candidate will also have good commercial understanding and experience with corporate accommodation.
To succeed in this role, you will need to be a pro-active self-starter with the ability to drive business, and grow market share from existing accounts and delivery of new business.
As part of the role, you will be enrolled on to our Sales Training Academy – Guru to MASter the art of sales! You will have the flexibility to work from home once a week.
Director of Sales key responsibilities:
1. Develop an in-depth understanding of the local hotel markets based on intelligence and knowledge of competitor activity and rates, resulting in increased revenue generation through focused sales activities for Local and National Accounts.
2. Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits.
3. Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. monthly sales results and annual forecasts).
4. Produce accurate and timely, weekly, monthly and annual reporting that meets the needs of Regional Sales Manager and General Manager.
5. Participate in the annual budgeting process for the Corporate and M&E segments, using appropriate business tools.
6. Complete and execute hotel sales plan, review and update in line with strategy and hotel business needs.
7. Overall accountability for hotels RFP’s both local and national ensuring all stakeholders are consulted during negotiations.
8. Managing a portfolio of local accounts and territory accounts whilst supporting the delivery of National Accounts into the hotels
9. Using data and market research conduct telesales and campaigns to identify opportunities for hotels.
10. Overall accountability for hotel Group and M&E business performance.
11. Ensure the use of the CRM system, is in line with the minimum standard of use for self and team as required.

13. Previous experience in a similar role in the industry is desirable
14. Strong market knowledge is essential
15. Be passionate about M&E Have experience in influencing individuals/teams and driving sales performance in a fast moving, challenging and multi-channel environment
16. Have excellent communications and relationship building skills
17. Be ambitious and driven, with a good understanding of the up-scale hotel sector
18. Be results driven, self-motivated, flexible and resilient.
19. Have a strong background in commercial negotiations to secure additional revenue generation
20. Have the ability to present the Leonardo Hotel brand in a compelling manner to influence new business acquisition
21. Commercially aware, numerate and the ability to identify opportunities
