Promoting the best in home grown talent, and working with a host of internationally renowned artists, MCD also promotes annual music festivals such as Longitude.The RoleMCD Productions is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Accounts Assistant on a full-time permanent basis.Working within MCD’s Finance team and reporting to the Head of Finance and Financial Controller, your primary function will be to ensure timely approval and payment to suppliers, together with related reporting and issue resolution.This is a key and exciting position within MCD’s Finance function and is central to everything that MCD promotes.ResponsibilitiesProvide supports to the Head of Finance and Financial Controller – developing process knowledge and understanding of accounts payables/transactions/issue resolutionSupport the Accounts Payable function as required and especially during peak periodsReview expense transactions and processes with a view to identifying improvements and efficiencies.Process transactions onto the financial system, resolve issues with suppliers and prepare files for upload to the bank systemAssist with purchase order processes, to include raising / monitoring purchase orders, artist payments and ensuring SoX compliance.Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and monthly reporting pack.Support the annual audit process generally, and specifically with data and information collation.Respond to ad hoc requests from the Finance Team and provide project supports to the finance managersSupport internal (finance and related) company projects whilst ensuring compliance with financial controlsSkills, knowledge and experience requiredThe ideal candidate is likely to have existing Accounts Payable experience.Flexibility, resourcefulness and a high level of attention to detailExcellent organisational skillsStrong time management and task prioritisation skillsIT proficiency, particularly with MS Excel and Oracle experience would be an advantageAn eagerness to learn and previous bookkeeping experience would be of benefitEqual OpportunitiesWe are passionate and committed to our people and go beyond the rhetoric of diversity and inclusion.
