Job Summary
We seek a Technical Manager based in Ireland to lead the Engineering Team's technical aspects of projects and design.
The Technical Manager will champion product development improvements and analyze feedback to identify problem-solving techniques that enhance quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
* Provide timely technical support to all departments from tender stage to final test and commissioning.
* Handle technical queries from clients and attend meetings as necessary.
* Develop and monitor the technical aspects of in-house and on-site test procedures.
* Ensure accurate and up-to-date technical data in Anord Mardix documentation.
* Minimize exposure and risk by ensuring compliance with relevant standards, customer specifications, and country-specific requirements.
* Assist with checks and approvals of electrical schematics.
* Support the electrical design team in creating new circuits and bills of material.
* Contribute to product and process development.
* Highlight process deficiencies, suggest improvements, and implement changes.
* Provide feedback on safety and integrity issues.
* Support site services when issues arise.
* Contribute to project submittals.
* Draft technical incident reports.
* Suggest and champion new components for improved performance and reliability, and lower costs.
* Involved in vendor selection and product sourcing for large-scale projects.
* Maintain effective relationships with clients, colleagues, and third parties.
* Assist with training new employees.
* Perform other technical duties assigned.
Requirements:
* Hold a degree in Electrical Engineering or be an electrician with at least 5 years' experience in a similar industry.
* Previous managerial or team lead experience is advantageous.
* In-depth knowledge of electrical components used in switchgear products.
* Able to write clear technical documents and reports.
* Competent in IEC 61439 switchgear standards.
* Understand electrical single-line diagrams and schematics.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Familiarity with AutoCad is beneficial.
* Strong team member with innovative quality improvement skills.
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and administrative skills.
* Eligible to work in Ireland (EU).
