Salary: NCAD Grade V Salary Scale: €51,211 - €61,251 per annum pro-rata*
*Candidates should note that as per Department of Public Expenditure, NDP Delivery and Reform guidelines, entry will be at the minimum point of the scale and the rate of remuneration will not be subject to negotiation and may be adjusted from time to time in line with Government pay policy.
Different terms and conditions may apply if you are a currently serving civil or public servant. Annual Leave: Annual Leave will be 25 working days per annum pro-rata.
This leave is exclusive of public holidays.
Hours of Attendance: Working hours will be 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday (net of rest breaks).
Location: This position facilitates remote working options with a requirement to attend NCAD Offices and/or other locations to meet project partners.
The NCAD office is located at NCAD Campus, 100 Thomas Street, Dublin 8
POSITION SUMMARY About the Role This role is funded through Creative Ireland is for period of 8 months.
The Co-ordinator will be responsible for project managing the rollout and delivery of this innovative, climate change, design-thinking programme, called "Creative Boardroom – Collaborate4Climate".
Creative Boardroom: Collaborate4Climate is an urgent call to action in the face of one of the most pressing challenges of our time: climate change.
Funded through Creative Ireland's Creative Climate Action Fund, it is a pioneering all-island collaboration between The Institute of Directors Ireland, The Institute of Directors Northern Ireland and Creative Futures Academy.
The programme brought together chartered directors, students, artists, designers, entrepreneurs and innovators with the shared ambition to create actionable solutions for our planet.
For many, the scale and complexity of the climate challenge is overwhelming.
The CBC4C programme which ran from November 2023, culminated in an exhibition at the NCAD gallery, in November 2024.
Working with 24 Chartered Directors from the Institute of Directors North and South and 20 students from NCAD and IADT, collectively they used design and creativity to develop innovations to address some of the most critical climate challenges facing us.
CFA has recently secured funding for a phase 2 continuation of the project.
Building on phase 1 phase 2 seeks to amplify awareness of Irelands climate challenge through dialogue, knowledge sharing and collaboration.
The CBC4C exhibition is central to this, it serves as a visible anchor point for both boards and employees of participating organisations and public sector bodies (North and South).
The exhibition is accompanied by a series of workshops in design thinking and future planning to provide tools and/or a methodology that organisations can use to effect change.
It shares key information about the effects and impacts of climate change to ensure they are more broadly understood.
The Lead Partner in the Project is Creative Futures Academy @NCAD (CFA), a ground-breaking partnership between three leading creative institutions: The National College of Art and Design, University College Dublin, and the Institute of Art, Design + Technology.

With an overall membership of 1,000 members, IoD NI has a community of approximately 60 Chartered Directors who will be invited to join with Chartered Directors in ROI to participate in this project.
Laura Magahy (Chair of the Project Steering Group) and Karen Hennessy, (Steering Group Member) are Chartered Directors and Chair/Directors of Irish Design 2015.
Role CFA/NCAD is now looking to appoint a fulltime coordinator from May to December 2025 to manage the rollout and development of the Creative Boardroom: Collaborate4Climate Climate Action project funded by Creative Ireland.
The post holder will work with and report to the project steering group.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing all project elements.
This will include implementation, stakeholder engagement, gathering inputs for ongoing evaluation and reporting.
The successful candidate will work closely with the CFA Programme Director, NCAD and IADT staff, NCAD Corporate Services, Academic Affairs, key stakeholders – Creative Ireland, the Institute of Directors, IOD (North and South), the Steering Group Chair and Members and Industry partners to manage the delivery of key project outputs against key performance indicators.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Overview: This role has been established through Creative Ireland funding and is a funded position for 8 months.
The Co-ordinator will be responsible for project managing the rollout and delivery of the Creative Boardroom – Collaborate for Change programme.
The post holder will work with and report to the Project Steering Group, academic lead, NCAD and IADT staff, key stakeholders – Creative Ireland, IoD and Industry partners to manage the delivery of key project outputs against key performance indicators.
? Project manage the rollout and development of the Creative Boardroom: Collaborate4Climate programme.
Working with the Project Steering Group, devise a project plan and timeline ensuring key milestones are met.
? Provide administrative support to academics, the Project Steering Group, CFA director and other key personnel involved in delivering the programme, including coordinating meetings and minutes, research and programme development.
? Project promotion to include preparation and dissemination of communication materials on and offline.
? Manage logistics related to the project: venue booking, coordination of speakers workshop materials, exhibitions, talks and events.
? Generation of regular reports linked to project metrics for the steering committee, funders and stakeholders.
Gather and disseminate participant staff and wider stakeholder feedback.
? Oversee the evaluation of Phase 2 activities across participating organisations and stakeholders and submit a final report to funders.
? Working with the appointed team, coordinate the delivery of the workshops, webinars and exhibitions, including oversight of procurement and monitoring spend against budget.
? Management of the project budget, providing regular updates to the steering committee.
? Work with Student Services & Admissions to support participants and students in respect of application, admission and registration to the programme
? Undertake such other duties as may be assigned by the Appropriate Officer from time to time
Selection Criteria Selection criteria outline the qualifications, skills, knowledge and/or experience that the successful candidate would need to demonstrate for successful discharge of the responsibilities of the post.

? A minimum of 2 years' experience in an equivalent role in a Cultural and/or Education and Training Sectors;
? Have excellent communication both written and verbal;
? Have excellent interpersonal skills, with proven experience of building relationships with external and internal stakeholders;
? Strong administration and project management skills and experience;
? Have experience in the preparation of reports and the presentation of the results / findings contained in such reports;
? Proven track record of project delivery and meeting deadlines;
? Have excellent IT skills with strong G-Suite skills;
? Have strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines;
? Enjoy working in a creative environment, collaborating across teams and effectively responding to tasks and requests;
? Be legally eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland.
