We are currently seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing who will contribute to delivering high standards of care to our residents in CareChoice Malahide Road

Essential Criteria:
* Have not less than 3 years' experience of nursing older persons in the last 6 years.
* Have a minimum of 7 years post registration experience.
* Have in-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and regulatory inspection activity as they pertain to residential care centres.
* Hold a third level qualification in management.
* Have the ability to manage one's own workload effectively while responding flexibly to new demands at short notice.
* Demonstrate an ability to embrace change and be committed to continuous improvement and learning throughout the residential care home.
* Have the skill to influence others, build constructive relationships and achieve outcomes.
* Promote an ethos and culture of quality assurance within the clinical area, identifying and establishing benchmarks and KPIs in consultation with the Director of Nursing.
* Be a Registered General Nurse.
* Be available to work flexible hours when required.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Director of Nursing in the day-to-day management of the nursing home, ensuring high standards of care are maintained for all residents.
* Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance, support, and training to maintain a high level of clinical care and compliance with best practices.
* Ensure compliance with HIQA standards and regulations, adhering to all local and national health and safety policies.
* Manage staffing needs, including recruitment, scheduling, and performance management of nursing and care staff.
* Lead quality improvement initiatives, including audits, reviews, and evaluations to continually improve care delivery.
* Coordinate resident care plans with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, therapists, and social workers.
* Handle complex clinical cases, providing expert advice and ensuring residents receive appropriate care tailored to their needs.
* Monitor infection control procedures and ensure that they are in place and strictly adhered to throughout the nursing home.
* Support the development and implementation of policies and procedures in line with regulatory and organizational requirements.
* Act as a liaison between residents, families, and staff, promoting open communication and a resident-centered care approach.
* Oversee admissions and discharge processes, ensuring smooth transitions and accurate documentation.
* Assist with budgeting and resource allocation, ensuring effective use of resources in the delivery of care.
* Promote continuous professional development among staff through in-service training and education programs.
