Job Description
Summary: As an Accommodation Supervisor with Marriott's Autograph Collection, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring a high level of excellence in guest rooms and public areas.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assign and supervise the activities of associates to maintain high standards in guest rooms, suites, corridors, and service areas.
* Ensure turndown service is carried out to the highest degree by nightly refresh attendants.
* Assist in maintaining the smooth running of the Housekeeping Department in the absence of senior management.
* Operate within Marriott Operating Standards to maintain brand integrity.
Guest Satisfaction:
* Strive to meet or exceed customer expectations by providing prompt and courteous service.
* Handle guest problems and complaints in an understanding and hospitable manner, using the LEARN process.
Human Resources:
* Lead by example and promote a positive work environment.
* Develop a team spirit among housekeeping staff and identify training needs.
* Attend departmental meetings and actively participate, sharing best practices.
Operations:
* Prepare worksheets for the day when needed and assigned.
* Take action if staffing appears short.
* Assist in handing out and controlling keys and worksheets to associates.
Financial Management:
* Assist in managing the Accommodation function operating budget and capital expenditure budget.
Accountability:
* Responsible for inputting the status of guest rooms.
* Check associates' equipment and supplies to ensure they are clean and tidy.
* Supervise the changing of soft furnishings and upholstery as needed.
Requirements:
* Organization, communication, time management, and hospitality skills.
