About the role: We are now recruiting for a key role to help us get there – Test & Release Engineer.
To oversee and coordinate the release management process for our technology platform, ensuring smooth deployment cycles and high-quality software delivery.
The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing releases into defined sprints, managing UAT, assisting our 3rd party (near and offshore) development teams with QA scenarios, and supporting business teams with defect identification and resolution.
This role requires extensive experience with Jira projects for managing releases, tracking defects, and coordinating sprint planning.
The technology stack includes Oracle Health Insurance, NetSuite CRM / Financials, and associated member web portals and mobile applications.
Key Responsibilities Release Management & Sprint Planning Organize software releases (combinations of configurations and build) into structured sprints, coordinating across development, business, and testing teams.
Ensure proper version control and documentation for all platform releases.
Work closely with development teams to define and prioritize release scope based on business needs and system stability.
Maintain and optimize Jira projects to track sprint progress, releases, and issue resolution.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT) & QA Support Plan, execute, and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders.
Define UAT test cases and ensure appropriate coverage of business processes.
Assist development teams by providing QA support, defining test scenarios, and validating fixes before deployment.
Ensure all defects are logged, tracked, and resolved in Jira, providing clear reporting to stakeholders.
Defect Identification & Business Support Act as a bridge between business teams and development teams for ad hoc defect investigation and resolution.
Identify, categorize, and prioritize issues, ensuring efficient triage and resolution.
Provide business teams with clear impact assessments and proposed fixes for defects.
Key Skills & Experience Experience working with complex system configurations and integrations, demonstrating strong critical thinking skills.
Demonstrate a passion for understanding and using system configurations before determining development is a must do.
Extensive experience with Jira projects for release management, sprint planning, and defect tracking.
Strong knowledge of software release cycles, sprint methodologies, and Agile frameworks.
Hands-on experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), test planning, and execution.
Experience assisting development teams with QA scenarios and functional testing.
Familiarity with Health Insurance tools preferable Oracle, NetSuite CRM/ Financials, and associated member web portals and mobile app is highly desirable.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
Experience in health insurance, financial systems, or related industries.
Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL for Mongo or scripting for basic data validation (a plus but not required).
Understanding of API testing and automation tools (a plus).
