Job Details Our client is now seeking a Senior PMO to join their Programme Management Office. As a Senior PMO, you will support the Head of PMO and the Delivery Programme Manager in leading a team of scheduling and programme management professionals to accurately report on the full Portfolio. You will lead all progress review and reporting activities of the PMO for the entire portfolio of projects with particular focus on our client's key strategic projects and act as the interface to all delivery teams within Chief Infrastructure Office (CIO) for schedule-related standards and processes. You will maintain and oversee the reporting baseline for the Price Review Period and other quarterly baselines for all projects in the Network Delivery Programme. As part of your role, you will compile the quarterly update of the Delivery Programme (NDP) with information from MSPOL schedules and query/confirm the date changes with representatives of all teams initiating and delivering projects. You will work with the Leadership Team, Programme and Project Managers to ensure that the delivery of key strategic projects and programmes are in compliance with best programme management practices. The Team The Chief Infrastructure Office (CIO) comprises highly skilled professionals with backgrounds in engineering and business/commerce. The Infrastructure Office is responsible for leading the development and delivery of the power system and interconnection investment programmes, in collaboration with partners, customers & communities. The Programme Management Office (PMO) is responsible for undertaking four key roles; 1. Governance, 2. Regulation and Risk Management, 3. Investment Portfolio Reporting and 4. Price Review (PR). The team is responsible for setting the governance policies and standards to be used for large scale transmission infrastructure, Regulatory audit and compliance, risk management and monitoring of CapEx delivery. The team also develops reports on schedule and financial information and delivery of outcomes and benefits aligned to strategic objectives across the full Transmission Infrastructure Portfolio to key stakeholders such as government and the regulator. The CIO NDP scheduling function in collaboration with our client's Group Strategy team and the Infrastructure Delivery Team is responsible for accurately reporting on the progress of all projects within the Transmission Infrastructure Portfolio to key stakeholders including the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications. About you Successful candidates will have: Qualification to degree level or equivalent qualification, with minimum 6+ years relevant post-qualification experience. Power system industry expertise or other regulated utility experience is preferred. Experience developing solutions or new ways of doing things with good analytical and problem solving ability. Experience planning and organising work activities for self and others within a cross-functional team such as report writing and audit preparations to meet deadlines and deliver high quality outcomes. Ability to work collaboratively and transparently with others across the business and externally to deliver outcomes in accordance with strategic objectives. Experience of high voltage transmission including an awareness of substations, overhead lines and power cables would be an advantage. Ability to manage complex information requirements from the Delivery Teams to allow effective management of the Capital Programme.
