We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Manager to join our team in Dublin.
The Technical Manager is responsible for ensuring food safety, quality and compliance with legal, industry and customer standards while maintaining continuity and upholding these standards throughout operations. This position requires technical expertise and leadership skills to maintain high levels of quality and safety within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
* Food Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards by maintaining and improving robust food safety systems.
* Regulatory Coordination: Coordinating with Regulatory Authorities such as BRC, FSAI and DAFM for legal compliance.
* Audit Readiness: Oversee internal and external audits ensuring full readiness for regulatory and customer inspections.
* HACCP Plan Development: Lead the development implementation and review of the site's HACCP plan.
* Non-Conformance Investigations: Manage non-conformance investigations root cause analysis and implementation of preventive measures.
* Quality Management System: Maintain the Quality Management System and associated documentation.
* Equipment Calibration: Oversee calibration testing and maintenance of equipment critical to quality control.
* Data Analysis: Manage data collection analysis and reporting for validations and performance indicators.
* Product Complaints: Lead the investigation and solution of product complaints recalls or quality incidents.
* Traceability Systems: Ensure robust traceability systems are in place for effective incident management.
Collaboration and Continuous Improvement:
* Partner with Production Teams: Partner with production R&D and supply chain teams to maintain product quality and process efficiency.
* NPD Contributions: Contribute to NPD providing technical expertise and ensuring compliance.
* QA Team Leadership: Lead and support the QA team providing training guidance and performance management.
* Culture of Continuous Improvement: Maintain a culture of continuous improvement and food safety awareness across the organisation.
Requirements:
1. Education: 3rd level degree in food science food technology or similar.
2. Experience: Minimum 5 years experience working in a Technical role within Food Manufacturing is essential and ideally within at management level.
* Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of the Meat Industry and its equipment and services.
* Flexibility: Flexibility the site is operating 24/7.
* Leadership Skills: Excellent management and communication skills.
