Job OverviewWe are seeking a Commercial Finance Manager to play a key role in driving the success of our business.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role acts as a trusted business partner to the Commercial Director.
You will be instrumental in providing strategic financial support and insights that directly influence business performance.
By collaborating across teams, this role will contribute to the company's growth and profitability, ensuring strong financial governance, optimizing commercial strategies, and driving value creation.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Partnering & Strategy Support: Act as a key business partner to the Commercial Director, continuously improving and influencing performance.
Work collaboratively to deliver high-level business insights and provide strategic financial support.Delivering the Plan: Provide insightful analysis of customer performance, benchmarking against budget, forecast, and prior year, to support strategic decision-making.
Communicate financial performance through clear, actionable reports and dashboards, highlighting risks and opportunities.Financial Performance & Governance: Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring financial control and alignment with business goals.
Protect the business through strong financial governance across trade investment and capital management.Value Creation: Champion an ROI-focused culture, driving value through margin optimization, SKU and spend management, and pricing decisions.
Evaluate customer terms, investment prioritization, and post-investment reviews to maximize returns.Strategic Support & Project Involvement: Work alongside the Commercial team to identify and deliver financial insights, contribute to Joint Business Plans, and collaborate on projects that impact our customers.
Ensure robust financial governance and influence long-term strategic decisions.Capability Building: Enhance the financial acumen of the Commercial Business Partners and finance team members through knowledge sharing and development.RequirementsExperience: Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience or equivalent in a business partnering role, with a proven track record of collaborating with senior teams.
FMCG experience is preferred.Skills: Strong analytical and interpretive skills, with the ability to present financial data in a clear, actionable way.
