Renewable Energy Projects & Grid Engineering Recruitment Consultant for Ireland at JD Ross Energy
My client is a leading international engineering services business where they provide infrastructure solutions for the telecoms and power sectors in Ireland and the UK. They also merged with a telecommunications and energy service provider last year with a turnover in the region of €1.5bn per annum.
They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless integration of the solar energy projects with the team to be constructed. The candidate should have a large industrial electrical field experience with working on substations, solar projects between 50kWp-5MW in scale, and plant rooms.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with the initial survey from an electrical technical perspective.
* Provide all the relevant electrical information for the design of the solar project.
* Have all knowledge and understanding of the electrical rules and regulations for solar projects.
* Support on electrical schematics and SLD for the project.
* Provide cable layouts (DC & AC) and planned routes.
* Oversee and manage the installation of data cable, smart logger, and monitoring devices.
* Knowledge of the systems data and PV generation.
* Oversee and manage the installation of CT Clamp, breaker, and LV/MV site connection information.
* Understanding of G10 (ROI) and G99 (NI) spec requirement.
* HV/MV Transformer and Switchgear intervention if required.
* Provide battery storage solutions when required.
* Demonstrate strict safety measures and work to high standards.
* Bill of Materials including cable management & consumables and procurement.
* Labour cost, project planning and electrical installation project delivery.
* System testing and commissioning - Witness testing.
* SEAI, Grant and DNO Grid connection information if required for completion of documentation.
Requirements:
* 4+ years experience as an electrical engineer with solar projects.
* Electrical engineering degree and qualifications.
* Installation and fitting experience of the solar electrical capabilities.
* Available to work onsite for the projects around Dublin.
* Experience overseeing other subcontractors and electricians on the sites.
* Full driver's license.
* Qualifications of Micro Solar Photovoltaic Systems Implementation QQI / FETAC and Micro-Generator Electrical Installation QQI / FETAC or equivalent SEAI recognised course would be an advantage.
* Previous industrial electrical experience and knowledge of LV/MV and strong knowledge of electrical systems, including AC and DC circuits.
* Knowledge of Solar PV industry software, UK & Ire regulations, and industry standards.
