This popular, award-winning four star hotel in central Dublin is currently recruiting a Reservations Manager to assist in maximising hotel revenue, working closely with the wider hotel team.
Key responsibilities:
* Oversee the running of reservations office ensuring that it is run smoothly and efficiently.
* Ensure all bookings are confirmed by the client and confirmed to the client in writing.
* Operate a yield management system and ensure the best rates are achieved at all times depending on the hotels availability.
* Be a sales person for the hotel by up selling and recommending the hotel facilities.
* Recognise sales leads and pass them on to the sales office
* Work closely with the sales team and assist in negotiating rates and organising special promotions.
* Have full knowledge of all the hotels rates and packages.
* Quote for group enquiries and to follow up appropriately to ensure that they are handled to the required standard.
* Have full responsibility for the status of groups and ensure deposits and prepayments are received on time.
* Ensure co-ordination with reception re payment details, arrival times and any unusual requests.
* Co-ordinate in advance with the restaurant, concierge and any other departments any information, which concerns them.
* Check email and all other websites on a daily basis and to update the websites regularly with rates and allocations.
* Check and confirm all commission claims for the accounts office
* Recognise regular and repeat business and ensure special requests are clearly noted for reception.
The ideal candidate:
At least two years’ experience as Reservations Manager in a large, quality hotel property with solid mix of business including corporate, leisure, events, conference and banqueting.
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills
* Strong knowledge of Property Management System
* Strong customer service ethos and background
* A can-do attitude and the ability to work well in team
* Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel and other computer software
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multi-task
