Senior Automation Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Senior Automation Engineer to lead our digital and automation strategies across CAPEX projects in the life sciences manufacturing technology sector.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving the development and execution of automation strategies, envisioning long-term project success and aligning with global and site-specific goals. Key responsibilities include leading the implementation of automation systems, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met, as well as managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive the development and execution of automation strategies, envisioning long-term project success and aligning with global and site-specific goals.
* Lead the implementation of automation systems, including PCS, MES, and IT-OT integration, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
* Work with digitalization and automation functional leads, ensuring seamless integration of solutions across various project streams.
* Act as a liaison between program management, global teams, and external vendors to align priorities, mitigate risks, and maximize opportunities.
* Manage a team of automation and MES experts, ensuring efficient resource allocation and adherence to the project's execution roadmap.
* Develop and implement a communication strategy to keep stakeholders informed about project risks, mitigation strategies, and progress.
* Oversee vendor selection and management, defining clear scopes and deliverables for internal and external teams.
Requirements:
* 10+ years in automation and digital services, with significant expertise in life sciences or manufacturing.
* Proven experience managing large-scale CAPEX projects and advanced automation systems.
Technical Skills:
* Proficiency in L2/L3 automation technologies (PCS, MES, PLCs, Fire & Gas, BMS, and IT-OT integration).
* Strong understanding of digitalization strategies and their impact on business transformation.
Leadership:
* Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior leaders.
* Experience in change management and stakeholder engagement at all organizational levels.
Soft Skills:
* Strategic thinking, financial acumen, and the ability to align technical initiatives with business objectives.
* Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills.
Estimated Salary:
€120,000 - €150,000 per annum
