The Opportunity:
Our Subsurface Engineering department, based in Kilcullen, County Kildare is rapidly growing and because of this, we are delighted to commence the hiring process to bring on 3 Assistant Utility Surveyors to join our team.
Murphy Geospatial have introduced innovative and alternative methods to assist in difficult and unusual engineering surveys and investigations, offering clients specially trained survey teams who can undertake specialist surveys, combining 3D deliverables with consultative recommendations.
We have been involved in projects such as Terminal 2 at Dublin Airport, Luas Cross City in Dublin, Swords BRT Scheme, Cork Main Drainage Scheme and the Galway to Mayo Gas pipeline and are currently working on many high profile and exciting projects across the country.
What will I be doing in my new role?
Working with cutting-edge surveying equipment such as Total Stations, GPS and Data Collectors and using modern methods to provide critical information to assist our clients in decision making.
Building and maintaining client relationships ensuring we deliver projects to exact client requirements.
Assisting with detailed field and office surveying assignments.
Any other duties as required by the business.
Requirements of the role:
Previous experience working within the surveying industry would be beneficial, however we will also consider those with civil engineering and construction experience.
Fetac QQI Level 5 qualification or higher (in accordance with the National Framework of Qualifications).
Experience in the use of electromagnetic detection and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) would be advantageous but not essential
Excellent communication skills and ability to provide feedback to clients
Possess the right to work in Ireland.
Flexibility to travel nationwide as required by our clients.
Possess a full clean Irish or EU driving license.
