The Opportunity:
Our Subsurface Engineering department is rapidly growing, and consists of many adept surveyors, civil and structural engineers, geophysicists, and geologists. We have introduced innovative and alternative methods to assist in difficult and unusual engineering surveys and investigations. We offer clients specially trained survey teams who can undertake specialist surveys, combining 3D deliverables with consultative recommendations to our clients. We have been involved in projects such as Terminal 2 at Dublin Airport, Luas Cross City in Dublin, Swords BRT Scheme, Cork Main Drainage Scheme and the Galway to Mayo Gas pipeline, helping to survey infrastructure across the country.
In line with this growth, our Subsurface Engineering department based in Kilcullen, County Kildare are currently recruiting for Trainee Utility Surveyors. We are seeking Assistant/Graduate Surveyors and Engineers with a minimum of 1 years’ previous experience in the Utilities/Geomatic sector. Candidates must be able to prove that they are fully conversant with the most up to date techniques, including electromagnetic detection and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR). Experience working within the utility surveying industry would be beneficial, however we will also consider those with land surveying, civil engineering, and construction experience.
What will I be doing in my new role?
Working with modern survey methods and survey devices such as total stations, GPS and data collectors.
Building and maintaining client relationships ensuring we deliver projects to exact client requirements.
Assisting with detailed field and office surveying assignments.
Any other duties as required by the business.
Requirements of the role:
Fetac QQI Level 5 qualification or higher (in accordance with the National Framework of Qualifications).
Knowledge of the principles and practices of surveying/ civil engineering.
Knowledge of modern survey methods and survey devices, Total stations, GPS and data collectors (Advantageous but not critical)
Knowledge of GPR, CAT and Genny utility detection equipment and procedure for usage (Advantageous but not critical)
Ability to communicate technical information effectively.
Possess the right to work in Ireland.
Flexibility to travel nationwide as required by our clients.
Possess a full clean Irish or EU driving license.
