Key Responsibilities:
As a Catering Assistant, your role will be vital in ensuring smooth daily operations within the healthcare facility.
Responsibilities include:
Meal Preparation & Service: Assist in preparing and serving meals and beverages, ensuring all dietary requirements are met.Hygiene & Safety: Maintain high hygiene standards, cleaning equipment, utensils, and food preparation areas in line with health and safety regulations.HACCP Compliance: Follow HACCP protocols and adhere to infection control policies to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors.Food Storage & Rotation: Store, label, and rotate food correctly to maintain freshness and reduce waste.Meal Delivery: Deliver meals to patient bedsides and assist those who may require support during meal times.Collaboration with Kitchen Staff: Work as part of a dynamic kitchen team to ensure efficient service and timely delivery of meals.Waste Management: Follow healthcare facility waste and recycling procedures.Customer Service: Provide professional and friendly service, addressing patient and staff queries with care and compassion.Stock Monitoring: Ensure ward pantries are fully stocked with food and supplies for daily use.This diverse role in a healthcare setting allows you to make a genuine difference every day!
What We're Looking For:
We're seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals who meet the following criteria:
Experience: 6 months to 1 year of experience in catering, hospitality, or a high-volume kitchen environment, ideally in healthcare catering jobs Ireland.Right to Work in Ireland: Legal eligibility to work in Ireland, with successful Garda Vetting clearance.References: Five years of work references to verify your experience.Team Player: Strong communication and teamwork skills, working effectively in a fast-paced environment.Hygiene Standards: A commitment to cleanliness, hygiene, and infection control policies.Flexibility: Availability to work varied shifts, including weekends and Bank Holidays.Why Join Our Team?
