The Role of a Social Care Worker
The successful candidate will be afforded all necessary training and development in line with the role.
Candidates must be highly motivated and creative, with a passion for engaging with Service Users on a daily basis.
Candidates will contribute to enriching the lives of our Service Users.

Job Objectives
* Support people with their daily plan.
* Support the Individual in experiencing the everyday life within their community.
* Supporting people with their education, skills development and achieving personal outcomes.
* Supporting people with their living skills such as - Cooking, Cleaning, Laundry, attending appointments, family visits etc.

Responsibilities
* Being familiar with and adhering to all Company policies and procedures, standards, regulations, and codes of practice in so far as is reasonable and practicable.
* Enable individuals supported by the service to pursue and maintain their individual hobbies and interests.
* Driving and/or escorting the service user by a company vehicle, or via public transport, to and from social activities, appointments or planned outings.
* Assist with encouraging and developing individuals, in relation to personal hygiene, health matters and care for their personal appearance.
* To promote and safeguard the well-being, and interests of the service user at all times.

Shift Work
Shift work over 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.

Skills Requirement
* Qualification: Level 7/8 degree in Social Care/Healthcare or related discipline.
* Must be a registered member of CORU.
* Full Irish Driver's Licence required or in the process of achieving a Full Irish Driver's Licence.

Knowledge and Experience
* Knowledge of standards and legislation relevant to the area.
* Relevant life/work experience would be desirable but not essential.
