About Us:
OptumRx leverages cutting-edge technology and data analytics to transform healthcare pharmacy services delivery. As a Principal Data Analyst – Technical Solutions, you will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced data solutions that drive the organisation’s business performance. This includes building scalable data solutions and analytics platforms, developing machine learning models, and ensuring that all data products are optimised to meet both internal and external business needs.
This role is suited for individuals with a strong technical background in data analytics, data transformation and optimisation, and advanced analytics. You will work closely with departments across OptumRx to create and deploy data products that improve operational efficiency and business insights. From predictive modelling to developing scalable data solutions, your work will directly impact the ability of teams across finance, supply chain, and strategy teams to make data-driven decisions.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Design and implement data solutions and products to support internal and external analytics needs.
• Develop machine learning models to create predictive and prescriptive analytics for financial forecasting, customer solutions, and operational improvements.
• Collaborate with data engineering, IT, and business teams to build and maintain scalable analytics infrastructure.
• Optimise data pipelines and data product performance to ensure reliability, data quality, and scalability across the organisation.
• Lead data solution projects from concept through implementation, working with cross-functional teams to meet business and technical goals.
• Analyse large datasets and ensure seamless data integration for machine learning models and data products.
• Create technical documentation to support analytic product deployment and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:
• Strong proficiency in SQL, and Python and/or R for data manipulation and modelling.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Machine learning experience, including building and deploying predictive models.
• Proven experience in data solution and/or product development.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in predictive analytics, healthcare analytics, or supply chain data.
• Familiarity with ETL tools like Apache Airflow, Kafka, or Azure Data Factory for data processing and pipeline automation.
• Experience with Power BI or other tools for developing technical dashboards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related technical fields.
• Background in Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industries.
