Description
The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics is in the exciting position of recruiting for the following post in Adult Services.
Contract Type: Permanent - Full time
The successful candidate will:
* Deliver dietetic services in a number of settings including clinics, day and residential services, and home visits.
* Lead on the dietetic input required for service users with Dysphagia.
* Provide support and educate staff and families on home enteral tube feeding.
* Provide general support and educate staff for service users requiring food fortification and use of nutrition supplements to stabilize weight.
* Provide support to service users requiring dietetic input post discharge from acute setting.
* Engage in health promotion activities.
* Work closely with a team of established Dietitians as part of a multidisciplinary team, reporting directly to the Dietitian Manager.
Qualifications:
* BSc Human Nutrition and Diploma in Dietetics, OR an equivalent recognised qualification in clinical nutrition and dietetics, as approved by the Dietitians Registration Board at CORU.
* Registered with Dietitian Registration Board, CORU.
* Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Experience in tube feeding & modified consistency diets.
* Excellent communication, initiative, and time management skills.
*If essential qualification(s) have not been obtained in the Republic of Ireland, candidates will require validation of appropriate qualification(s) by the Department of Health, where applicable, or by the Dietitians Registration Board at CORU.

Salary Scale: Successful candidates will be paid in line with the 2017 HSE revised consolidated pay scale, based on working a 35 hour week.
Should you have no prior public sector experience, you will be placed on point 1 of the pay-scale.
