A client in Cork seeks an experienced Process Engineer for a 12-month hourly rate contract. This role presents a unique opportunity to enhance manufacturing processes, collaborate with a talented team, and contribute to groundbreaking projects within the pharmaceutical sector.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee project execution, commissioning, and qualification (C&Q) while adhering to industry standards.
* Track project and program progress, offer technical insights, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and client specifications.
Technical Leadership
* Provide leadership in the execution of environmental, health, safety, and sustainability (EHS&S) procedures and policies.
* Lead engineering initiatives for strategic and site-wide projects.
Project Management
* Prepare and manage capital expenditure requests for new processes or facilities while ensuring budgetary and timeline adherence.
* Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and procedures, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
Communication
* Keep senior leadership informed through regular reports on project developments, costs, challenges, and performance metrics.
Collaboration
* Offer technical leadership to cross-functional teams, resolving interdepartmental issues.
Documentation
* Ensure accurate documentation of all project and program-related activities.
Technology Alignment
* Work closely with the Technical Operations team to align technical standards and support new product introductions and technology transfers.
Continuous Improvement
* Conduct research to identify business and technical improvements.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering or a related discipline.
* Experience working in a process or cGMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment.
* Knowledge of failure analysis.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Familiarity with Delta V, PLC, and SCADA systems.
* Experience using SAP.
* Previous supervisory experience.
