Environmental, Health and Safety Advisor
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health and Safety Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing guidance and support on environmental, health and safety matters to project teams.
Key Responsibilities
Provide advice, guidance and instruction in all EHS matters to management, safety representatives and employees.
Identify training needs and report requirements to project teams.
Audit and inspect projects to ensure compliance with EHS regulations and identify areas for improvement.
Report on business EHS risks, KPIs and trends accurately with data and recommend constructive actions towards continuous improvements.
Investigate incidents and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Ensure that site EHS plans, RAMS and other associated documents are updated and compliant with statutory and other requirements.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
* 5+ years' experience in a similar industry, preferably with knowledge of electrical, mechanical and construction activities.
* Diploma to NFQ 8 in Occupational H&S and Certificate to NFQ 6 Environmental Management.
* Experience with Construction Regulations, CDM roles and working with subcontractors.
* Excellent communication skills through presentations, reports, written and verbal.
* Ability to work well within strict deadlines and prepare high-quality audits and EHS reports.
* Up-to-date knowledge of legislation, standards, guidance, advice and compliance.
* Proactive approach to identifying positive and negative acts and ability to follow through with realistic corrective and preventive actions.
* IOSH Member or equivalent qualification.
