Consultant Psychiatrist in General Adult Psychiatry with a Special Interest in Neuropsychiatry or Psychiatry of Later Life

About the Role
* Develop and undertake all duties and functions within the Consultant's area of competence, aligning with policies specified by the Clinical Director.
* Collaborate closely with the Clinical Director to support operational and strategic plans.
* Advise the Clinical Director on clinical priorities, actively participating in strategic development discussions.
* Manage clinical team members as designated by the Clinical Director.
* Foster an open and inclusive working style, ensuring positive relationships and effective communication.
* Ensure compliance with HSE and Mental Health Commission requirements.
* Develop innovative ways of delivering clinical services and maintain the highest standards of clinical effectiveness.
* Facilitate professional clinical competence and participate in performance management.
* Assist with collaborative teaching and training programs in line with the client's strategy.
* Promote research activity and teaching in the Hospital according to the organization's strategic plan.
Requirements
* Full registration with the Specialist Register (Psychiatrist) of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland.
* Minimum of seven years post-grad experience.
* Registration as a general adult psychiatrist with a sub-specialized interest in Psychiatry of Later Life or Neuropsychiatry desirable.
* People management experience or position of additional responsibility to the clinical area.
* Proven track record in leading change and developing clinical services.
* Energetic individual with solid experience collaborating with a diverse team of clinicians and strong knowledge of Clinical Governance.
* Good knowledge and experience of health, safety, and other statutory regulations affecting a healthcare organization.
* Ability to deliver core contracted hours and undertake on-call services as per the agreed rota.
