Job Title: Road Maintenance Depot Manager
Our client, a well-established transport infrastructural company based in Dublin, is seeking an experienced professional to manage their Road Maintenance Depot on a permanent basis.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in motorway maintenance and construction.
Responsibilities:
1. Direct report to the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Manager and Deputy.
2. Ensure the smooth operation, lawfulness, and efficiency of the depot's activities in collaboration with managers as necessary.
3. Maintain compliance with all relevant duties and responsibilities under various health, safety, and welfare regulations, including the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007, and the Protection of the Environment Act 2003.
4. Develop and implement programming and planning for works.
5. Oversee depot housekeeping and plant maintenance.
6. Manage salt storage, weighbridge calibration, loading shovel delegation, and coordinate deliveries with local authorities in Balbriggan.
7. Conduct site work inspections, ensure quality control, and maintain front-line standards of work.
Requirements:
1. Hold a full, clean 'B' driving license.
2. Possess experience in motorway maintenance and construction.
3. Be proficient in IT skills.
4. Exhibit strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team of workers, including operatives, administration staff, and other personnel.
5. Demonstrate strong organizational skills to coordinate works, manage inventory, and schedule operations efficiently.
6. Display excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members, upper management, and external stakeholders.
7. Show an in-depth understanding of safety regulations and protocols to ensure the depot complies with safety standards.
