Job Purpose
We are seeking a proactive, dedicated and experienced Training & Development Co-ordinator who will manage, organise and improve all training programs throughout the site with initial focus on the organisation & improvement of training programmes for our operations team. The Training & Development Co-ordinator will be responsible for reviewing, developing, and implementing a comprehensive training program to ensure timely delivery of all program specific processes; metrics and system support in order that Amcor Flexibles’ talent processes are aligned with and support the delivery of business goals and outperformance culture.
Job Dimensions & Scope
* Staff: 100+ across Production, Warehousing, Maintenance, Administration and OHSE
* Operation Processes: Printing, Pouching, Venting, Lidding & Trays
* Departments: Operations, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Sales, Finance & HR
* Complexity: Interaction with various departments to ensure overall alignment with business strategy and goals
Principal Accountabilities
* Review and organize training plans, coordinate the design and development of training programs in line with company policies, culture and processes.
* Coordinate the preparation of appropriate training methods per department, including documentation (SOPs), simulations, mentoring, on-the-job training, and external training if required.
* Coordinate the development of management and leadership training modules for team leaders/managers.
* Perform needs assessment on an entire organization level and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed.
* Inform employees about available training opportunities and provide necessary information.
* Implement accepted education principles and develop new training methods and techniques.
* Develop educational aids and materials.
* Coordinate the review and analyze instructional effectiveness and prepare reports determining the impact of training on employee skills and how it affects KPIs.
* Adjust training programs based on feedback and performance metrics from team leads & managers.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders and liaise with subject matter experts regarding instructional design.
* Manage training database and training records in real time with a focus on audit readiness.
* Coordinate train-the-trainer sessions where necessary for internal subject matter experts.
* Oversee in-house training facilities and equipment.
* Liaise with external vendors and manage contracts and relationships when using external resources to arrange training locations, hotels, trainers, print materials, catering and budget.
* Preparation of the training venue before and during training courses upon need.
* Coordinate course feedback (from both participants & management) for continuous improvement purposes and reporting.
* Monitor and evaluate both the internal & external program effectiveness, success and ROI.
* Coordinate the cross-charging training costs internally within AFEMEA and to other Business Groups if required.
Qualifications/Requirements
Formal Qualifications And Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent level of education and/or experience.
* Proven experience as a Training Coordinator or similar role in a manufacturing environment would be beneficial.
* High level of hands-on approach to training from onboarding to final sign off on training.
* Ability to assess training needs and develop effective training solutions.
* Strong understanding of training program design and implementation.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills with robust presentation skills.
* Experience in managing processes and projects with excellent detail coordination, analytical and structured approach.
* Good understanding of performance and learning management processes, systems and cycles.
* Proficiency in using training software and tools.
* A high degree of computer literacy, good working knowledge of standard Microsoft applications.
