Health and Safety Officer
The company is seeking a Health and Safety Officer to support the day-to-day management and implementation of Health and Safety processes across the organization. This role involves working in an office environment with occasional travel to sites.
Key Responsibilities:
* To maintain and develop the Health & Safety Management Systems, ensuring effective communication throughout the organization on H&S issues.
* To provide regular reports on H&S matters to senior management.
* To contribute to the business needs of the organization through innovative approaches that ensure compliance requirements are met and enhanced.
* To conduct risk assessments and identify hazards.
* To communicate H&S requirements effectively to staff through meetings, toolbox talks, and learning events.
* To coordinate and deliver EHS training, inductions, and staff training.
* To report on incidents and accidents, monitoring follow-up actions.
* To track objectives and promote their delivery.
* To carry out H&S audits and inspections.
* To issue and track PPE requirements.
* To liaise with site teams to ensure health and safety documentation is up-to-date.
Requirements:
* A third-level qualification in Health & Safety is mandatory.
* At least 2 years' experience in a Health & Safety regulated role is required.
* The ability to work independently and think innovatively.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to deliver training sessions.
* Strong organizational skills.
* The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
* A full clean driver's license is necessary.
* Experience with RAMS and method statements is desirable.
