The Role:
* Lead and guide the Mechatronic team in support of assigned automation projects.
* Act as a mentor to the engineering team, ensuring adherence to processes and high standards of work.
* Design and develop innovative automated equipment from concept to delivery.
* Use SolidWorks for 3D and 2D design and detailing.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of systems.
* Handle technical documentation, project control, and customer communications.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
The Person:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (8+ years).
* 5+ years’ experience in Mechanical Design/Engineering, with responsibility for design sign-off, installation, and commissioning.
* Proven experience with 3D design tools like SolidWorks.
* Strong leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills.
* A team player with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Full UK Driver’s License required.
