TechHeads is currently seeking an experienced Operations Resilience Manager to strengthen our client’s ability to withstand and recover from disruptions. This role will focus on Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR), ensuring the organisation has robust strategies in place to maintain operational stability.
This is a new position within the organization where you will be setting the standard for all BCP across the entire organization working closely with each department to carry out an analysis, define BCP, test and run scenarios, documentation and roll out.
This position will be best suited to an individual with excellent stakeholder management experience and excellent knowledge of creating and implementation business continuity planning across different departments within an organization.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop & Enhance BCP & DR Strategies – Design and implement an organisation-wide business resilience framework.
* Engage with the Business – Collaborate with teams to document critical BAU (Business-As-Usual) processes and identify vulnerabilities.
* Risk Assessment & Scenario Planning – Analyse potential risks (e.g., cyber threats, infrastructure failures) and develop comprehensive response plans.
* Testing & Process Documentation – Maintain detailed documentation, conduct simulations, and lead annual resilience testing.
* Incident Response & Crisis Leadership – Act as the Incident Manager, coordinating teams and ensuring swift recovery actions during disruptions.
* Collaboration with IT & Security Teams – Ensure technology resilience, including backup solutions and failover mechanisms, align with business needs.
* Stakeholder Communication & Compliance – Educate leadership and key business units on their role in maintaining operational resilience.
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Strong Business Engagement Skills – Ability to influence stakeholders and promote a resilience-first mindset.
* Incident Management Experience – Ideally has experience handling major incidents (e.g., cyberattacks, system failures, regulatory disruptions).
* Industry Knowledge – Experience in transport, logistics, financial services, or semi-state/public sector environments is highly desirable.
* Strategic & Hands-On Approach – Comfortable planning long-term resilience strategies while also executing practical solutions.
* Technical Awareness – Understanding of cloud backups, system replication, and IT recovery processes to effectively collaborate with technical teams.
Compensation:
€80,000 - €90,000 DOE
Pension and additional benefits
Hybrid working - 2 days on-site in Dublin.
Candidates must be located in Ireland and hold an EU Passport or stamp 4 Visa.
