The purpose of the job is to provide essential oversight to the daily running of the Aspect A.S. Support Service. The Assistant Manager will report directly to the Manager, act up when the Manager is on leave, and act up as Deputy Designated Officer when the Designated Officer is on leave.
Clients of the Aspect Service are over 18 years of age, finished in second level education, and have a primary diagnosis of Asperger Syndrome (A.S.)/ ASD Non-ID.
The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting successful collaboration across all Aspect Service structures, championing a holistic approach to client intervention through effective leadership of an equitable, accessible, person-centered service for adults with A.S.
Minimum Education & Experience RequiredEssential: A minimum of three years' experience working in management in the field of disability, education or training.Essential: A third level degree in Social Care, Education, or Health.Essential: Qualification or demonstrable experience in a Supervisor/management and leadership role.Essential: Experience in a management/Supervisory role in training, health or educational environment, with individuals with an A.S. or ASD Non-ID diagnosis.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesResponsible for managing a dedicated team, including coordinating new staff induction and facilitating Professional Development Review and Formal Supervision processes.Uphold the main objectives of the service, ensuring the highest standard of professional support and intervention is adhered to.Report to the Manager, support the resolution of incidents at local level, and act as Deputy Designated Officer for Safeguarding if necessary.Additional RequirementsWork in a confidential team environment, including lone working arrangements.Flexibility regarding evening and Saturday working is required.Attend all required training as relevant to the role.Have a full, clean driving license with a minimum of 1 years' experience.Access to a car for business purposes insured in your name.BenefitsCompany Pension SchemeEducational leave27 days annual leaveBike to work schemeIncome protectionHealth and Wellbeing programmeEmployee Assistance Programme (EAP)Closing Date: Please submit your application by 04/01/2025.
