Job Description
We are currently recruiting for an EHS Specialist to provide EH&S project support for projects at our site in Cork. This is a 12-month contract position.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct EHS Impact Assessments (IA) as part of the Management of Change process to ensure all EHS requirements and site standards are incorporated.
* Implement company EH&S by Design & OneCSS as required for projects.
* Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, 3D model reviews, JSAs, noise /IH/ergonomics / WRAPs (machine safety) assessments, FATs / SATs, and walkdowns as required.
* Support IA action closure & tracking.
* Perform periodic walkdowns / audits / programme reviews to ensure compliance with PTW requirements, IED license, SOPs & regulatory requirements.
* Collating and reporting of relevant metrics / KPIs.
* Lead / participate in incident / accident investigations & root cause analyses (RCA).
* PTW Improvements work with other functions to drive improvements in the site PTW process.
Requirements
* Previous experience working to ISO14001 and ISO45001 international standards, preferably within a Biopharma/pharmaceutical or related environment.
* A relevant third level qualification in Science, Engineering or EHS, with at least 5 years experience in the environment, health and safety area.
* Good overall knowledge of legal requirements and best practices in both Environment and Safety.
* Creatures dashboards, power-point presentations and can track and trend KPIs, assembling information into clearly written reports, documented findings or recommendations and communicate this progress in easily understandable manner to all stakeholders.
* Machine safety experience would be a distinct advantage.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and training skills.
* A flexible approach, good priority setting skills and ability to deal with multiple tasks.
